Since finding quality resources on the internet sometimes feels like finding a needle in a haystack, GET has established a list of recommended websites to find information on international EE, curriculum, and more.
Conservation International This organization aims to conserve the earth’s biodiversity and show how humans can live in harmony with nature. They wish to do this “spiritually, culturally and economically.” This site provides materials for the classroom, including course curriculum.
EE Link: North American Association for Environmental Education www.eelink.net/eeorganizationsandprojects-international.html This site provides contacts and information surrounding environmental issues across the world. The left tool bar allows you search by environmental field, and the main page lets you search by region.
George Lucas Educational Foundation This website provides useful information and resources for educators.
Global Explorers This is a non-profit organization committed to sharing educational international immersion experiences with students and teachers. Find out how you can engage your students in international travel.
GLOBE GLOBE focuses on primary and secondary education programs. They provide international hands-on science learning programs for students as well as for teachers. For the students they provide lab curriculum, and for teachers they have workshops, guides and a large network of international teaching contacts. GLOBE has a partnership with over 100 countries abroad.
International Education and Resource Network (iEARN) iEARN is one of the largest international non-profit networks that allows students and educators to connect worldwide and collaborate on different projects.

Population Reference Bureau When you first enter this website, click on the Environment option on the left hand tool bar. This link has current events in regards to the environment. Learn what problems the international community is facing in regards to the environment, and what they are doing to remedy them. This website also has useful current population data to use in your classroom.
UNESCO: Decade for Sustainable Development (2005-2014) The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization has declared 2005-2014 the UN Decade for Sustainable Development. Several programs are involved. Their website contains a myriad of information.
UNICEF: Voices of Youth Started in 1995, Voices of Youth is dedicated to making sure young people from all countries learn more, say more and do more about the world they live in. The website offers discussion boards, interactive stories and guidance for how to take action that allow youth to partner across the globe on issues related to human rights and social change.
World Wildlife Federation The World Wildlife Federation is an organization that aims to create a future where humans can live harmoniously with their natural environment. This website provides information on environmental issues around the world.
World Wise School Program: Peace Corps The World Wise School Program provides ideas for service learning projects, stories, classroom materials and more, based on the experiences of Peace Corps volunteers abroad.
