Technology in Interpretation

Methods: Summary

Home

The methodology of the project is the systematic plan that drives the work of the researcher.  Each objective was achieved by following a series of steps and procedures.  By accomplishing each small step, the researcher climbed closer and closer to the ultimate goal of the project.  The Interpretive Technology project required an understanding of computer skills that professional interpreters value, the creation of an interpretive technology lab where students can practice their skills, the development of technology course modules that incorporate skills into the interpretation classes, and an evaluation of student’s attitudes and comfort levels.  Completing the steps for each objective lead to a successful and effective computer skills training for interpretive students.
