Wisconsin Conservation Hall of
Fame
The Schmeeckle Reserve Visitor
Center is home to the Wisconsin
Conservation Hall of Fame.
Wisconsin has been and continues
to be a
leader in conservation policy and education. In 1984, the Wisconsin
Conservation Hall of Fame (WCHF) was founded to honor men and women who
made significant contributions to the environmental legacy of the
state.
Schmeeckle
Reserve partnered with the WCHF,
and a large addition was constructed
onto the visitor center in 1990.
The addition included conservation history exhibits, a formal hall of
fame gallery, meeting room, and cedar sign shop.
