Planning,
designing, and developing
effective visitor centers is a
multi-faceted process based in a
solid understanding of
interpretation. Ron Zimmerman,
Michael Gross, and Jim Buchholz
facilitated a two-day workshop
in Wales to explore the
diversity of factors that
contribute to a successful
interpretive center.

In
addition, participants visited an
actual interpretive center at the
summit of Great Orme Country
Park. The center was evaluated
based on several factors,
including comfort and
accessibility, exhibition
design elements, and
meanings and connections.
