Visitor Center Amenities
Information
desk: The friendly and knowledgeable staff at the visitor center
can answer your questions and provide information about the Reserve, the
Green Circle Trail, the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame, the
university, and Stevens Point. Maps of the Reserve and other
brochures and pamphlets are available to make your visit more
enjoyable.
Restrooms
and drinking fountain: Modern facilities are available during regular
visitor center hours. In late spring, summer, and early fall, a
drinking fountain is available just outside the front door of the
building.
Accessibility: The
Schmeeckle Reserve Visitor
Center is a universally
accessible building. If you have
any special needs, please
contact us at
schmeeckle@uwsp.edu.
Trash and recycling
receptacles: Schmeeckle
Reserve has a Carry In-Carry Out
policy for trash. No garbage
cans are located on the trails.
If you have or find trash,
please drop it in the
receptacles at the visitor
center.
Air conditioning and heating:
The building is air conditioned
during hot weather and heated
during cold weather for the
comfort of all visitors.
