Dear campers and parents,

Welcome to another year of exciting summer camp options from the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station (CWES). In our 34th year, we are happy to announce that "Summer Camp 2009" will offer a mix of camps and trips for campers ages 5-17, including a new Adventure Race Camp for 12 to 14 year olds. This summer we have a staff of carefully selected college age Summer Camp Counselors, a Health Care Counselor trained as a first responder, and we welcome back graduate student Elena Krieger as our Summer Camp Director.

All summer staff complete two weeks of training with us before camp begins. Staff are trained in first aid, outdoor skills, games, waterfront procedures, most are certified lifeguards and all undergo numerous background and reference checks before being hired.

Our year round staff will provide you with wonderful meals and comfortable accommodations. All buildings are located close to bathroom and shower facilities. As a field station for the College of Natural Resources at the University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point, we maintain the finest equipment for learning and recreation. While prices for adult groups are being raised in 2009, we are keeping camp prices the same as 2008.
