UWSP International Dinner Ticket Sales Begin February 18
Come enjoy the 38th International Dinner & Entertainment on March 8th. Tickets will be available from University Information and Tickets, Dreyfus University Center, beginning Monday, February 18. This year's theme is a "Rainbow of Cultures." Enjoy food and entertainment from around the world. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis & regularly sell out within a matter of days. The cost is $15 per ticket. Orders by phone (346-4100) and Internet (http://www.uwsp.edu/centers/uit/) are welcome with a credit card. You may also purchase at the ticket office with cash or a credit card.

SWCS and AWRA Annual Banquet
This year the banquet will be held on Feb. 24 at the Sky Club located in Plover,
WI. Tickets are on sale in CNR 180 and are $16 for students and $20 for
professionals. This year's speaker will be Jason and Giselle Kaufeld; they will
talk about their backgrounds in Soil Science and their adventures overseas.

Renewable Energy Summit
The fifth annual Wisconsin
Renewable Energy Summit will be held in Milwaukee, WI on Mar. 12-14, 2008 at the
Midwest Airlines Center. The Summit, titled Green Jobs – Growing Wisconsin’s
Economy, will focus on the role that renewable energy, such as wind power, solar
energy, geothermal, green buildings and bio-energy technologies, will play in
supporting Wisconsin’s economic well being. Growth of renewable energy
businesses will create new “green collar” jobs in Wisconsin. Those jobs include:
manufacturers, installers, consultants, engineers, and associated professions.
Renewable energy in Wisconsin has the potential to produce 35,000 jobs in the

This wolf workshop will provide the latest information about the timber wolf in
Wisconsin. Participants will learn about wolf ecology and society, pack
structure, predator-prey relationship, and about the past, present, and future
of the wolf, including the myths and misunderstandings. Weather and time
permitting, some tracking may be done so don’t forget to bring your boots.
