Open Outdoor Season in Memphis
Complete Results
UW-Stevens Point opened its outdoor season by sending several athletes
to the University of Memphis Invitational over the weekend in Memphis,
Tenn. No team scores were kept at the meet.
Phil Richert won
the 3000-meter steeplechase in 9:57.46 and Adam Baumann was the top
collegiate finisher in the 400-meter hurdles at 55.42 seconds to lead
the Pointers, who did not have any NCAA Division III provisional or
automatic qualifying marks.
Kyle
Steiner was second in the 400-meter hurdles at 55.69 seconds and
third in the high jump at six feet, six inches. Cory Towle added a
runner-up finish in the 10,000-meter run at 33:47.01 and Nick VerDuin
was fourth in the 200-meter dash at 22.22 seconds.
Beth Richter was fifth
in the women�s long jump at 17 feet, 1.25 inches and the women�s
400-meter relay team placed third with a time of 51.05 seconds. |
