Women�s Tennis - UW-Stevens Point 5, UW-Stout 4

     Alison Mills won at both singles and doubles to lead the UW-Stevens Point women�s tennis team to its first WIAC victory of the season with a 5-4 win over UW-Stout Saturday in Menomonie.

     Mills teamed with Rachel Ferge for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles and then cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles. Other singles winners for the Pointers were Kathryn Pollock at No. 1 and Aimee Strebig at No. 2. Gina Lamer battled to a third set tiebreaker at No. 4 singles before losing 7-4 to Jill McDowell.

     The freshman doubles team of Jana Braam and Kim Goron won their match at No. 3 by an 8-0 score.

     UW-Stevens Point is now 3-2 overall and 1-2 in the WIAC. The Pointers play at Ripon Friday at 3 p.m.
