UW-Stevens Point Beats St. Norbert to Move to 2-0 for Season

The UW-Stevens Point women�s tennis team improved to 2-0 in dual matches for the season with an 8-1 victory over St. Norbert Wednesday at the Multi-Activity Center.

Kathryn Pollock, Aimee Strebig and Alison Mills all won in singles and doubles for the Pointers at the top three singles flights. Gina Lamer also won at No. 4 singles and Amber Wilkowski posted a three-set victory at No. 5 singles.

The Pointers swept all three doubles matches as Pollock and Strebig won at No. 1 and Mills teamed with Gretchen Wedding for a victory at No. 2. The freshman duo of Jana Braam and Kim Goren improved to 3-1 for the season at No. 3 with an 8-2 win.

UW-Stevens Point will play at the UW-La Crosse Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
