Women�s Tennis - UW-Eau Claire 9, UW-Stevens Point 0

     Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference leader UW-Eau Claire was too much for the UW-Stevens Point women�s tennis team Friday in a 9-0 decision in Stevens Point.

     The Blugolds won all nine matches in straight sets and handled each of the doubles matches in posting the shutout win. Aimee Strebig took the most games of any Pointer player, falling 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. UW-Eau Claire improved to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the WIAC.

     The match was the Pointers� final dual match of the regular season as they conclude the year 4-6 overall and 1-5 in the WIAC. UW-Stevens Point will compete in the WIAC championships next weekend in Madison.
