​Program Review​​

The University of Wisconsin System requires that UWSP provide a “comprehensive and intensive re-examination of all academic programs” on a regular basis. The university fulfills this obligation through the Department Review Subcommittee, which resides under the Faculty Senate’s Academic Affairs Committee.

Academic programs are reviewed according to the Assessment and Program Review Reporting Cycle, which can be viewed through the link to the right. The guidelines for completing the Program Review Self-Study and other information concerning the review process can be found in Chapter 7, Section 2 of the University Handbook. The Department Review Subcommittee also reviews self-studies related to the UW System Joint Review of new academic programs. (Note: the UW System requirement for a Joint Review has been revised. See the links on the right for more information.)
