Barb Grasamkee

Barb Grasamkee serves as the University Executive Staff Assistant to the Provost/Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Her primary responsibilities include serving as the Provost/Vice Chancellor's major office support person, managing the Provost/Vice Chancellor's calendar, and managing the budgets in the Office of Academic Affairs. She serves as a resource person and liaison between the Provost/Vice Chancellor and faculty, staff, students, UW System offices and the general public in facilitating the work of the office.

Barb came to UWSP after working at two other campuses in the UW System (UW-Stout from 1981-88 and UW-Whitewater from 1988-91). She transferred to UWSP in 1991 to a position in the Chancellor's office and in 1995 transferred to her current position in the Office of Academic Affairs.

Debi Jakubek

Debi Jakubek is the University Services Program Associate for the Grant Support Services Office. She provides grant and contract administrative support. Debi serves as a resource person and coordinator for interaction between the Grant Support Services Director, staff, students, and other constituents of UWSP, as well as other UW offices and outside agencies. She supports the functions of the University Personnel Development Committee and the Student Research Fund. She also maintains the web site and database. Debi is responsible for the budget management of various research support accounts.

Debi worked for the State of Kentucky, taught high school math, and worked in the hotel industry before starting at UWSP in 2009.

Katie Jore

Katie Jore serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Personnel, Budget and Grants. She is the chief assistant to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in support of personnel, budget and grants. Her major responsibilities include providing leadership to and assuring compliance by academic department and administrative units on matters relating to personnel policies, public records, open meetings and other topics that relate to their responsibilities for personnel management. She also provides general oversight of the Academic Affairs budget as well as grants and sponsored programs. She also serves as a resource person for faculty, academic staff and mediation committees on personnel issues.

Katie joined UWSP as a faculty member in the Department of Physics and Astronomy in 1997. Her research interests are in structure and kinematics of galaxies as well as the rotation rates of asteroids.

Libby Raymond

Libby Raymond is the University Services Associate in the Office of Academic Affairs. She serves as the support person to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Personnel, Budget, and Grants. Her duties include, but are not limited to: Keeping complete lists of all faculty and academic staff requiring retention and tenure/indefinite status notice; sending notices to each dean and/or administrator and assuring deadlines are met; reviewing contents of and composing letters for retention, tenure, and promotion files submitted to Academic Affairs to ensure completeness for review/signature by the AVC, Provost/Vice Chancellor, and Chancellor; maintaining lists of tenured faculty and their post-tenure review status, assuring deadlines are met, and recording information received; maintaining lists of Category A and C academic staff due for annual/supplemental reviews and tracking copies received in our office; and serve as a resource for matters pertaining to retention, tenure, promotion, annual/supplemental reviews, and other personnel issues.

In addition, Libby is the UWSP Catalog editor and also provides support for the Institutional Review Board.

Libby started her state service in the Department of Natural Resources in 2000. She transferred to UWSP in 2004 working in the Continuing Education office for four years before transferring to the Office of Academic Affairs in 2008.

Paulette Rogers

As the Program Assistant-Advanced-Confidential in the Office of Academic Affairs, Paulette Rogers has a wide range of responsibilities dealing with non-classified staff (Faculty & Academic Staff).

These duties include, but are not limited to: Processing appointment contracts (new hires and renewals); payment requests; outside activity reporting; the campus wide merit and salary increase process which includes preparation of salary letters; working with departments to compute salaries for new faculty and academic staff hires; serve as a resource for matters pertaining to appointment, reappointment, retention, tenure, promotion, salary, rank, education code and other personnel issues.

Paulette also works through the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service in processing the appropriate paperwork to obtain work authorization for UWSP Faculty and Academic Staff who are non-US citizens.

Paulette started her state service in the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in 1982. She transferred to UWSP in 1984 and has worked in various campus offices prior to transferring in 2002 to the Office of Academic Affairs.

Greg Summers

Greg Summers serves as the Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.  Greg joined UWSP as a faculty member in the Department of History in 2001. His research and teaching interests are in U.S. environmental history, the history of technology, and consumerism. He is author of the book Consuming Nature: Environmentalism in the Fox River Valley, 1850-1950 (University Press of Kansas, 2006). Although currently serving in an administrative role, he continues to work on his next book project, entitled "The Comforts of Nature: A Brief Natural History of the American Home" (University of Washington Press, in progress).
